Loved the location, kids loved it, great price loved the cabin

Great little place to stay. Basic facilities but everything you need is there. Our family of 6 was comfy in the little cabin. Kitchen has everything you need to self cater. Lots of nice little bonuses we dont always get when staying in budget accomodation such as a washing machine, iron, clothes hangers, free wifi and netflix. Room was clean and although left to ourselves the owners were easy to reach. Kids loved seeing the horses, sheep and chickens. Being a working farm it has equipment every where but we are under no grand delusions that it should be pristine. Great view from the main house. Very peaceful and quiet. We will be making it our regular base when we visit the southern part of the state from now on.

Good kitchen facilities, comfortable large bed, quiet location and plenty of wildlife to watch

Hosts were helpful and accommodating to our needs, the quiet setting was great, and the cabin was roomy, comfortable and clean.

Clarissa was a great communicator and my family enjoyed a good nights sleep at their comfortable cottage. We appreciated the modern shower and the clean and simple style of the place. Anyone with younger children will appreciate the extra bunk space in the second bedroom and the selection of toys and kids books. There is a gentle pony in the paddock that likes a carrot and a bit of a rub.

Clarissa’s place is between the airport and Hobart up on Mt Rumney which has amazing views and beautiful bushland. The cabin accommodation is well setup with its own yard, a nice view and private. All is new, well fitted out and very comfortable. The quality bedding, smart tv and coffee was a nice touch. The farm has lovely animals and my children were happy for hours patting her horses and other animals. We really enjoyed our stay, and being only 15 mins or so from the center of Hobart it is great value.

This is probably a very lovely place most of the year. It was clean, well maintained and we appreciated having wifi to confirm our flights the next morning. Even so, we didn’t enjoy our June night here. It’s way up a mountain and the wind shook the cabin all night. It didn’t seem to be very well insulated and was very cold. The single electric heater took hours to warm it up. However, these problems are weather related so it’s likely much more enjoyable at other times of year. Be sure to bring a few apples as the horses were slightly put-off that we didn’t have treats!
