Just wanted to tell you we were very impressed by the thoughtful design of the cabin. so well presented and at the same time very functional . We were very comfortable. The view was to die for. We fed the horse before we went to Airport. Lovely place to stay near Hobart.

Mt Rumney is an amazing place for a holiday in itself or as a base to explore Hobart, Tasman Peninsula and other areas. Fantastic facilities with beautiful views made us want to stay and relax on location even on days when we wanted to explore the beauty in nearby areas. If you like nature then this is the place to be with countless sightings of animals around the property and in driving in and out. Highly recommended for your stay in Tasmania.

My family and I stayed at Mount Rumney to prepare for our wedding. I am from Hobart and thought this place would be a good way for the families to get together before the ceremony. There was enough accommodation to hold both my family and the brides. The units were lovely, stylish and modern. It was great to have a way to cook our own meals, and to have our own rooms in the units. The view there was also amazing, looking down on Acton Park and Seven Mile Beach and surrounds! There was a nice bit of wildlife in the area as well. It felt like we were out in the bush whilst only being 15 minutes from the city.

Clarissa and Bruce were amazing and helpful from start to finish. Even when the brides family got COVID. Clarissa and Bruce extended their stay to allow them to isolate and recover. They took the upmost care and caution and did a really amazing job in providing from the brides family.

I spent many years as a tour guide and have rarely seen this much passion for the accommodation and the guests. Hats off to Clarissa and Bruce.

Nice place with two bedrooms and a nice kitchen! Also, there are horses, lambs, parrots, and a dog living just beside the room. It’s a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of nature with your family!

What a beautiful spot! We arrived in the night, and the cabin was clean and cozy on a cold night. The next morning we enjoyed the beautiful views and the cute animals. Clarissa kindly brought us with her as she fed the animals too, and our kids really enjoyed patting the horses and sheep in particular. Thank you–it was a very pleasant little farmstay for our family!

Have stayed at the same location twice as I love the location , its only a short drive from Hobart and close to the airport, that together with it being very quite and in a rural setting. Bruce and Clarissa have recently built five new chalet type dwellings over looking the Cambridge area and out towards Barilla Bay . These chalets have everything , lounge and kitchen with magnificent views. Kitchen is fully equipped as is the laundry . The chalets are luxurious with no expense spared and designed to ensure guests enjoy ultimate comfort with unsurpassed views. Highly recommend.
